Well I am in transit to a new location but currently stuck in route! It is amazing how urgent (by standards of those above me) to move us to a new location yet no one plans the move at all, hence we are stuck doing nothing. Good news is it allows me to eat fairly normal, work out, make some phone calls and visit a few friends in the area!
Unfortunately the depressing news came from people already embedded where I am going:
-NO running water (not even a well yet)
-Highs around 20 degrees
-Obviously no showers or toilets
-SNOW SNOW SNOW
-and now I give up my nice life of a bedroom in a conex box to sleep in who knows what!
I will say this is more of what I expected from this deployment but once you get a taste of a good life it is difficult to leave!
I hope you enjoy those few pictures. I will try and upload a few more. That is the camp puppy (vets expect her to be about 150 lbs!!!), me inside of a police compound (on the outside actually, I don't like to hang out with the all that much), and the last one is my EOD team mate and I!
I know some people have emailed and are anxious to send packages but please hold off until I eventually get to my new location and get a good address (if we get mail). I do want to thank my parents, Amanda, and Jocelyn and the Turneys as I have gotten your packages recently.
Love and miss everyone and will be in touch soon!
Love and miss you too!!!! Praying every day. New puppy on board at our house, Jamoe. He is a piece of work. He is a black lab. Lots of energy. Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteJen, Saw some cute pictures of your new edition...the dogs out here are cute when they are puppies but they grow too fast and get too big out here..dont think I can bring one of these home!!!
